This terraced garden is situated on a cliff top with  wide reaching views out to sea. Kristina designed the hard-landscaping, which was expertly built by SD Projects and the client planted the garden themselves.

My clients wanted a sheltered seating area where they were protected from the wind and could enjoy the afternoon sunshine, plus a sheltered position for their greenhouse.

I terraced the steep slope of the garden with tiered planting beds; a curved staircase leads down from the lawn to a spacious patio area at the bottom of the garden, protected from the wind by a fence and hedge behind. A gently sloping path also leads from the top terrace by the house  down to the greenhouse which is nestled in a corner at the base of the slope.  The sloping path continues from the greenhouse to the lower patio to allow access with a wheelbarrow.

I also designed a small stone water feature as a focal point in the bed by the lawn and top terrace.
